Fourth Impact respects your privacy. I collect only what's needed to provide the service, I never sell data, and the systems I build for surveying practices are deliberately designed so that their clients' information stays with them rather than with me.
Fourth Impact is a UK business providing Google Business Profile management, report-writing and administrative systems to building surveying practices. The data controller is Adam Humphrey, trading as Fourth Impact. Contact: adam@fourthimpact.com or 07893 941669.
Information you give me directly when you book a call, complete the audit tool, email or telephone me, or become a client. Typically: your name, your practice's name, email address, telephone number, and whatever you choose to tell me about how your practice works.
If you use the free Google profile audit on this site, the tool collects the business you searched for, the category and keywords you selected, and the contact details you enter. That tool is operated on my behalf by a third-party provider, who processes the data under contract and only for the purpose of producing your audit.
This website itself sets no cookies and runs no advertising or tracking pixels.
To answer your enquiry, run the audit you asked for, deliver services you've engaged me for, and keep in touch about that work. If you have separately consented to marketing messages, to send those — and you can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting anything else.
I will never use your information to compete with your practice, and I will never pass your client information to anyone.
This matters more than the rest, so it has its own section. The systems I build — the report writer and the daily note — run inside your account, on your own subscription. Your clients' correspondence, their details and your reports remain in your possession throughout. I do not hold copies, I cannot read them, and if you stop working with me there is nothing of yours on my systems to return or delete.
Where I need to look at your setup to fix something, I'll ask first and tell you what I looked at.
I don't sell, rent or trade personal information. I share it only with service providers who help deliver the service — the audit tool provider, email and calendar providers, and hosting — each under contract and only for that purpose. And where the law requires it.
Client records for the duration of our relationship and up to seven years afterwards, for tax and business records. Enquiries that don't become clients: up to two years, or less if you ask me to delete them sooner.
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of what I hold, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, ask me to restrict or stop processing it, object to marketing, or request it in a portable format. Email adam@fourthimpact.com and I'll respond within 30 days, usually much sooner.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and held in access-controlled accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but the architecture here deliberately minimises what I hold in the first place — which is the most reliable protection available.
If this policy changes materially I'll say so here and update the date at the top.
